Hi! I'm Sam, a product designer and engineer who believes in creating storytelling-driven experiences that users love.

With a career background in frontend engineering and a personal background in film and performance, I've always lived at the intersection of art and technology.

HOW CAN I MAKE IT HAPPEN?

When I first started my engineering journey, I realized I loved creating intuitive and delightful user experiences. As I progressed in my career, my interest grew beyond just building features. I needed to understand who we were building for and why they needed it. I wanted to shape what was built instead of simply building it. And so I began to design, not just develop.

Now, I'm a UX engineer at IBM, where I deliver security-focused features from design to development to deployment for users across the world, while collaborating across design, management, and engineering.

I'm excited to continue using my hybrid skillset towards simplifying complex technology into experiences accessible to all.

I'm currently based in Austin, TX, where you can find me dancing, frequenting neighborhood coffee shops, and working on crossword puzzles.
